Mission Statement

The Mooresville Park and Recreation District shall provide and maintain a small-town character through quality parks, facilities, open/natural space, programs, and services that will enhance the physical, social, and emotional well-being of all the citizens of Mooresville and Brown Township in Indiana.

The Mooresville Park is made up of six full-time employees, plus numerous part-time and seasonal employees throughout the year. The full-time staff can be reached at the Park Office by calling (317) 831-7149.

Policies

Park Regulations
• All pets must be kept on a leash
• Park in designated areas only
• Keep all vehicles on roadways
• Alcoholic beverages are prohibited
• Horses are prohibited
• Golfing is prohibited
• Metal detectors are prohibited
• Park Shelters reserved daily
• "Drop In" groups/events must vacate in the event the Park Shelter has been officially reserved
• Parks close at dusk
• All Mooresville Parks are smoke and tobacco free.

Directions to Pioneer Park & Mooresville Aquatic Center

From Indianapolis
1. I-465 to Exit 8 (Kentucky Avenue, SR 67 South)
2. Proceed 7 miles to stop light at SR 67 and Bridge Street (Walgreens on corner)
3. Right onto Bridge Street
4. Right at first light (Indianapolis Road)
5. Turn left at curve, go over the railroad tracks
6. Park is 1/2 mile on the right

From Brownsburg
1. SR 267 into Plainfield
2. Go over I-70, staying on SR 267
3. Follow sharp curve to the right
4. Turn left at stoplight (825 E./Indiana St)
5. Proceed about 1 1/2 miles
6. Turn left at second stop sign (County Line and Indiana)
7. Turn right onto Indianapolis Road (about 1/2 mile)
8. Park is one block on the left

From Plainfield
1. SR 267 over I-70
2. Follow sharp curve to the right
3. Turn left at stoplight (825 E./Indiana St)
4. Proceed about 1 1/2 miles
5. Turn left at second stop sign (County Line and Indiana)
6. Turn right onto Indianapolis Road (about 1/2 mile)
7. Park is one block on the left

From Greenwood
1. SR 37 South to SR 144
2. Turn right at SR 144 (by Dairy Queen)
3. Proceed approximately 8 miles to Mooresville
4. Turn right at SR 67 stoplight
5. Turn left at second light (Bridge Street, Walgreens on the corner)
6. Turn right at first light (Indianapolis Road)
7. Turn left at curve, go over the railroad tracks
8. Park is about 1/2 mile on the right

From Martinsville & Brooklyn
1. SR 67 North to Bridge Street
2. Turn left on Bridge (Walgreens on the corner)
3. Turn left at curve, go over the railroad tracks
4. Park is about 1/2 mile on the right
