Volunteers are needed for various events throughout the year - 4th of July Celebration, Halloween Hike, Easter Egg Hunt, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Dance.

Halloween Hike

Thursday, October 31 - 6:30-8:00pm

The Halloween Hike is a safe kid-friendly community event that provides an evening of free, festive fun for children ages 10 and under.

Here are some of the ways we could use your help:

  • Donate prices for each station (900 individual items)
  • Monetary donation (to help purchase heand out items)
  • Volunteer for the Hike (approx. 90 people needed)

NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MISSION!
We are excited to announce our new partnership with The Mission. We are asking visitors of the Hike to bring a canned good or personal hygiene item so we can help stock the shelves at the Mission.

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Event Description:  The Daddy/Daughter Date Night gives girls and their dad, grandpa, uncle or other significant man in their life a chance to dance the night away.  The event is for girls 4-12 and their date.  Girls will receive a corsage upon entering and a gift when they leave.  A live DJ will entertain the group.  Beverages and light snacks will be served and couples may choose to get their picture taken by the professional photographer.  In 2018, we had about 180 ‘couples’!

Event Date: Saturday, February 15, 2020

Time(s):  Volunteers needed from 4pm – 9:00pm (3 hour shifts listed but we can make anything work!)

Location: Mooresville High School Cafeteria, enter through Door #29

Expectations: Punctuality, show up if you volunteer J 

Dress accordingly (listed under shift info)

Bring a great attitude and be ready to have some fun!

SHIFT 1     4pm – 7pm (need 5-6 individuals)

Responsibilities include: breakdown and moving of tables, decorating tables, decorating ‘dance floor’, inflating balloons, setup photography and check-in areas, food prep, check in desk, assist with photographer order forms, food table, door prizes, corsages

Preferred Attire – dress pants or khakis and nice shirt (skirts, dresses, sport coats and ties are not necessary!)

SHIFT 2    6:15pm - 7:00pm (need 5-8 indivdiuals)

Responsibilities include assisting with pinning corsages

 

SHIFT 3    6:30pm – 9:00pm (need 5-6 individuals)

Responsibilities include: check in desk, assist with photographer order forms, food table, door prizes, corsages, gift upon departure, clean up, breakdown and moving of tables

Preferred Attire – dress pants or khakis and nice shirt (skirts, dresses, sport coats and ties are not necessary!)

Mother/Son Dance

Event Description:  The Mother/Son Dance gives boys and their mom, grandma, aunt or other significant woman in their life a chance to dance the night away.  The event is for boys 4-12 and their date.  Moms will receive a corsage upon entering and boys will receive a gift when they leave.  A live DJ will entertain the group.  Beverages and light snacks will be served and couples may choose to get their picture taken by the professional photographer.

Time(s):  Volunteers needed from 4:30pm – 8:30pm (shifts listed but we can make anything work!)

Location: Neil Armstrong Elementary

Expectations: Punctuality, show up if you volunteer 

Dress accordingly (listed under shift info)

Bring a great attitude and be ready to have some fun!
