All programs that take place on school property, including the RECU program are required to follow the same close contact tracing as established by the School Corporation.
If an individual in the RECU program (staff or student) tests positive for COVID-19, the Park Office will immediately begin to do contact tracing. Close contacts are those that have been less than 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes in a 24 hour period. (The 15 minutes is cumulative, not consecutive).
Anyone determined to be a close contact of the individual that tested positive must quarantine for 14 days from the last date of contact. This includes not being able to attend school nor any Park progarms. If the Park notifies you of a close contact, any payments that have been made for the time the child will be in quarantine will be credited to your Community Pass account.
While the Park does notify the school of any close contacts in our program, the school does NOT notify the Park of individuals that have been quarantined. If your child has to quarantine due to close contact, please contact the Park Office as soon as possible so we can adjust your anticipated attendance and return date.
